In all states where we are licensed and/or authorized to conduct business, we operate under the name Praxis Title & Escrow LLC, except in Pennsylvania where Praxis Title & Escrow LLC conducts business under the d/b/a Praxis Settlement Services LLC. In Texas, our affiliate, Praxis Title & Escrow of Texas LLC, is licensed to issue title insurance and administer settlement and escrow services.
In certain jurisdictions, state law requires that all or portions of a real estate transaction — including holding escrow funds, conducting closings, or providing settlement services — be performed by a licensed attorney. In those jurisdictions, the attorney function may be provided by Praxis affiliates, independent local counsel, or via our underwriter commercial services teams.
Praxis Title & Escrow, together with its affiliates, principals, and employees, is authorized to issue title insurance and provide settlement services in select states across the country. In jurisdictions where we are not authorized, we serve as a single point of coordination, supporting our clients through longstanding relationships with the national commercial services teams of our title insurance underwriters and a network of attorneys and licensed title agencies.
